Dating from 1878, The Royal York Hotel is an extremely grand Victorian property surrounded by beautiful gardens and located adjacent to York train station. Varying in size due to the age of the building, the 167 guestrooms allow you to immerse yourself in an authentic country house ambience.

our room was overlooking the station but we heard no railway noise at all... Large bathroom but useless layout. Nowhere to put toiletries and towel rail at least 10 feet from the bath/shower ... Interior of the room is bad, old and cheap material, the carpet has not been cleaned for a long time ...
